Origami stars (ori = folding; kami = paper) symbolize good luck and
admiration for the recipient and are connected to an ancient Japanese children's' folktale about saving falling stars (Nguyen learn.neumann.edu).

Using Japanese paper folding and simple jewelry making techniques, guests will create 1-2 pairs of dangling hook earrings to keep or to gift.
